Ukrainian war refugees in Poland

  • Post category:Aktualności

Since the very first day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Poland has opened its borders, homes and hearts to its Eastern neighbours fleeing from the war. An “army” of thousands of volunteers, supported by hundreds of thousands of people, local governments and the Polish government, provide aid at the border, railway stations, in hospitals, across cities and towns. As many as 1.5 million people received help in the first two weeks since the Russian aggression. Mainly mothers and children who left their homes in Ukraine.
